Acne Removal Treatment
There are many
products sold for acne removal treatment, some acne
treatment products are without any scientifically-proven
effects.
Generally speaking successful and best
acne doctor medicines give little improvement within
the first week or two; and then the acne decreases
over approximately 3 months, after which the improvement
starts to flatten out.
An acne treatment product
that claims fast results – say, within 2 weeks
- is on the whole disappointing. The amount and severity
of acne in many cases can be greatly reduced by combination
of acne skin treatments.

However, a greater degree of monitoring and
a careful approach is taken because treatments that are
apparently effective -- even those are labeled as acne
alternative treatment -- tend to have greater possibility
for side effects.
It is still best to consult dermatologists when
selecting which acne skin treatment to use, especially
when considering using any treatments in combination.

Treatments vary by types
of acne. Comedonal or non-inflammatory acne
is treated locally with azelaic acid, salicylic acid,
topical retinoids or benzoyl peroxide.
Effective medications for inflammatory or
mild papulo-pustular acne are benzoyl peroxide or topical
retinoids and slight applications of topical antibiotics
such as erythromycin.
For moderate inflammatory acne, dermatologists
recommend benzoyl peroxide or topical retinoids combined
with oral antibiotics such as tetracyclines.
For this
case, isotretinoin is becoming to be a popular acne
popular treatment option. |
Recommended for severe inflammatory acne, nodular
acne, cyst acne and other acne cases resistant to the above
treatments are isotretinoin, or contraceptive pills with
cyproterone for females with virilization or drospirenone.
Meanwhile, stronger topical agents are most preferred for acne surfacing on the upper back since the skin in this area is thicker. Failure to reach the back – which is almost always the case – would require back acne treatment options such as an oral medication of systemic antibiotics.
