Acne Treatment Products
An effective
acne skin treatment starts with a good and a resolute
basic skin regimen. The affected area, particularly
the face should be cleansed twice daily with a 5%
benzoyl peroxide wash.
For those who are allergic
to benzoyl peroxide, a 2% salicylic acid solution
is the next best alternative.
Follow that
up with an application of a gel or cream containing
5% benzoyl peroxide, sulfur or resorcinol. At
night, a spot cream-containing sulfur is recommended.
A
light skin moisturizer and an oil-free makeup are
allowed. There are many acne treatment products
available today.

Some products stand out and become
acne popular treatments because of recommendations
and testimonials. Suffice to say, these brands
offer a great deal of efficacy. Most
dermatologists also start with oral antibiotic treatment
of tetracycline or one of the related “cyclones” such
as doxycycline and minocycline.
Other suggested
oral antibiotics are cefadroxil, amoxicillin and sulfa
drugs. Topical medications with antibiotic and antibacterial
formulations such as erythromycin, clindamycin, sulfacetamide,
and azelaic acid are basic acne removal treatments for
mild acne conditions.
Moderate acnes are treated with retinoids, which
particularly works by unclogging pores. Popular retinoid
brands include Retin-A, Differin and Avita.

Severe acne can be resistant
to more conservative treatments such as creams, drying
agents, and topical or oral antibiotics. In
this case Isotretinoin is highly recommended.
Chemical peels, also known as chemexfoliation
or derma-peeling, are administered to improve the appearance
of the skin.
Meanwhile, to make large pimples
and cysts flatten out fast, doctors inject them with
a form of cortisone.
Today, more and more people with recurring
acnes opt for laser resurfacing – also called
lasabrasion, laser vaporization or laser peel. |
The
procedure, which can be costly because of the use of
advance equipment, directs short, concentrated pulsating
beams of light at skin with irregular surface. The procedure
removes skin very precisely, layer by layer, resulting
in fewer problems with lightening of skin or hypopigmentation.
A genuine and effective acne medication, even acne alternative treatments or homemade acne treatments don’t make promises of quick healing, In fact, perhaps with the exception of an advance laser acne treatment, it may take 2 or 3 months to start seeing results and hopefully wonders.
