Back Acne Treatment

Back acne is prevalent especially among men.  The condition can show up in many forms, such as blackheads, pustules, nodules or even the most severe form of acne cysts, and is often harder to treat than facial acne.

The back is made of tough skin with thousands of sebaceous glands that secretes a lot of oil.

Inflammation for back acnes appear right near the surface than the patient gets a pustule.

When this happens, a deeper acne infection results to papule and deeper still causes acne cysts, which can result to permanent scarring.

Simpler forms of back acne are most probably treatable by maintaining a daily hygienic routine.  Occurrence of back acne in milder conditions may be treated by over the counter drugs. Topical acne skin treatment may not be sufficient especially for stubborn back acne which often requires oral prescription antibiotics such as tetracycline or minocycline.

A recommended back acne treatment a milder condition is a daily wash of salicylic-acid-based cleanser followed with an alpha hydroxy acid-based body moisturizer. A spot treatment of salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to individual pimples at night will kill bacteria that may accumulate during the day.

Also good back acne removal treatment options are medications containing 10 percent benzoyle peroxide.

Skin products usually lotions containing 8 to 10% Glycolic acid (alpha hydroxyl) combined with basic regimen can also improve chances.

‘Tougher’ acne treatment products in higher doses will yield better results Such as a prescription of retinoil-based brands or accutane.

Severe form of acne on the back, such as acne cyst must be treated by some skin specialist or dermatologist who would promptly advise that back acne treatments,

are not appropriate regimen for the face or neck and recommend the best acne doctor medicines available for back acne. Again, since acne on the back is much more resistant to treatment than facial acne, a more aggressive regimen is suggested.
